Love British Food is delighted to launch the Great British Pie Challenge 2024 for British Food Fortnight – the national celebration of British food taking place 20 September – 6 October.
Chefs and caterers from all sectors in the UK are being challenged to create a pie using British ingredients to include on their menus during British Food Fortnight. Open to all catering and hospitality sites - schools, hospitals, care homes, pubs, restaurants, hotels, cafes, business, destinations, event venues and stadia – chefs and caterers will need to create the pie following their industry guidelines on costs and nutrition.
PRIZE
The winning chef will receive a British food hamper celebrating the best of British food – exact details to follow soon.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. The competition is open to working chefs and caterers in the UK, except for anyone associated with judging the competition.
2. All information detailing how to enter this competitions forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3. To enter this competition, participants must send their entry to info@lovebritishfood.co.uk.
ENTRANTS MUST:
4. All entries must be received by 5pm on Thursday 10th October 2024
5. All entries must be original and must not have been published elsewhere or won a prize in other competition. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure their entry does not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws.
6. Copyright in all entries submitted remains with the respective entrants. However, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to Love British Food to feature any or all of the submitted entries in any of their publications, website, media features and/or promotional material connected to this competition. Entrants will not receive remittance for such publication, though their work will be credited.
7. Entry to the competition serves as written confirmation for the use of the photographic images submitted, the use of individuals names, title and work place for the purposes of publicity and promotion.
8. Illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries.
9. The judges will select one overall winner and two runners up. Pies will be judged individually:
10. The competition is judged by the organisers and Ambassadors of British Food Fortnight. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. In the event of the Promoter being unable to contact the winner, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to another entrance who, in the opinion of the judges and in accordance with these terms and conditions, is the next best entry.
12. The winner will be required to take part in publicity associated with the competition
